JENNA FISCHER BIOGRAPHY - Director, Writer, Actress

Jenna was raised in the suburbs of St. Louis, Missouri. After receiving a BA in theater from Truman State University, Jenna moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting. She took on various jobs to pay her rent, including work as a telephone psychic (although she is not psychic) and secretarial work. Jenna was very successful as an executive secretary for many years. She can type 85 WPM with 89% accuracy. She is proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point, and she has experience with multi-line telephone systems. Her office career had a ceiling, however, as she is a poor speller, and only so-so at grammar. Luckily, she had a television acting career to fall back on.

Jenna is currently starring in The Office: An American Workplace for NBC. The series is based on the British hit The Office, which scooped up a Golden Globe Award for Best Television Comedy. Jenna portrays Pam Beasley, the office receptionist. Jenna's other TV credits include guest roles on Six Feet Under, That 70s Show, Cold Case , Miss Match , Spin City , Strong Medicine , Undeclared , and What I Like About You . Her feature film credits include Employee of the Month with Matt Dillon, Christina Applegate and Steve Zahn, The Specials , Lucky and the upcoming Blades of Glory with Will Farrell, Jon Heder and Amy Poehler

LolliLove is Jenna's writing and directing debut.

Jenna lives in Studio City with her husband, screenwriter James Gunn, their dog, Dr. Wesley Von Spears, and a cat, Andy, who can proudly be seen in the 2005 Page-a-Day Cat Calendar as Mr. April 7th.
